ZA tells me new version is available

ZA free version persists in telling me that a new version (6.1.744.001), is available, and do I wish to download it now?

Cut and paste from "About" in Zone Alarm, as follows.

ZoneAlarm version:6.1.744.001
TrueVector version:6.1.744.001
Driver version:6.1.744.001

Anyone else getting this message, with 6.1.744.001 already installed?

What can I do about it? Bazza

i would just let it "update" to the new version and leave automatice updates on.
"update"=just let it do it's thing and install the same version over itself, if need be.
The reason I would do this is so you can leave automatic updates on so you can keep
up to date on your firewall.(probably your most important security software) because if
your anything like me, you'll forget to periodically check for updates.

Thanks melloman. It is a 10mbyte download and I am on dialup. Might have to weaken and download it again. I have always used ZA on previous PC's with the auto update turned off. On my new laptop I forgot and had it set to auto update. I review the front page of MG www.majorgeeks.com every day, even scolling back through the previous 2 days, to check on new or updated programs and pick up any news on ZA, CC, Spybot S&D, etc., that way.
