    Just going to post this here. I recently fell victim to this virus. Is there any way to restore the files or are they done for. I am only bummed about my pictures especially of my daughter as I don't have many, any help will be desired. I did restore my computer to the earliest known restore point which was in July 2016, I have had this computer for 2 years though so not sure why it didn't have any earlier restore points. Virus though just got on it about 10 days ago or less.

    Unfortunately, the same as 'Cryptowall' and 'Locky', there is nothing that can currently be done to reverse the effects of this. I am very sorry to be delivering this bad news to you. :(
