Anyone use Excite to check TV listings? Well, every so often it gets trapped in "infinite loops" whereby you can never advance past the "Select Your Cable Provider". It dumps you right back at the "Enter Zip Code" box (now empty)!

I seem to recall it was some sort of a "cache" issue, but I've had this problem for 6+ months now, and all the cleaners and AV apps in the world don't seem to be clearling it up this time!

Can everyone else actually GET to the grid here: http://www.excite.com/tv/grid.jsp

I've run out of ideas. What more can I do?!

Barring that, what's a good alternative? I've tried YahooTV, TVGuide and Zap2It, but they all leave out a pile of channels in my area. Excite was far and away the best.

Yep, works fine. What java runtime engine version are you using?

Works okay with FF, running linux and temporarily allowing excite.com in noscript. Had a look at the grid for Comcast tonight with my channels.

Really?! I'm certainly not seeing THAT!

Just an endless loop of "enter zip code" "select provider" "enter zip code" [again] "select provider" [again] "enter zip code" [again]...

Oh, and I was doing this in IE (8), but now that you've got me thinking, I switched over to FF/SF/O and gave it a try in each. SAME.

I do recall in years past when this finally cleared up, it had something to do with swiping a temp cache or something. But I'm fresh off CCleaner, WinWash, SAS, etc. (yes, even an MBAM)...so I'm at a loss what else to try here.

    Re: JRE# - Hellifino!

Lessee here...I'm seeing "6 update 14" in my proggy list. Is that the number in question? And if so, is 6/u14 good or bad?

Like i said, this problem comes and goes - 6 months on, 6 months off...with different PCs, different browsers, different net access methods. Really a PITA!

Well, start looking at other internet related software you have running. Its not a browser issue. Something else is blocking the content.
