ZIP Drives...

My girlfriends mom has a bunch of ZIP disks full of pictures she wants to put on her website (under construction). We still have the ZIP drive, but it is not in a computer. We all have laptops, so we cannot install the zip drive into a machine. I bought this little adapter thing that allows you to hook up an internal drive to your laptop via USB. I did this, but it did not recognize the drive. I am running Vista btw.

Is there anyway anybody can think of to get these pictures off these disks?

you may need to install the zip drive software then hook it to the computer

Bug is right, Go to Iomega's site and download the type of Zip that you have.

Thank you guys very much. I will try this when I get home this evening.

 

Remember that zip drives instructions say to install the software first, then plug in the usb to be detected. Otherwise windows might install different drivers that will conflict with the ones you install later. This is for actual usb zip drives though, I don't know about making an internal into an external though.

 

I haven't had time to test this as of yet, but I should have some spare time this evening. I will let you guys know though.
