Zip genuis? Zip moron

so i had a .rar file.. 4 gb of pix..

i used zip genuis to unzip it. it made a file called pix.. so then i admit this was dumb but i deleted the zip file. only to then open the unziped to (my horror) it was EMPTY.. did a searh on my pc for rar files.. nada.. folders called pix.. nada.

 

In such cases, something like Recuva File Recovery comes in handy. Unfortunately, the more you use the computer the less likely you will be able to recover the files.

What message did Recuva give?

 

that it couldnt scan my G drive - it saw it but couldnt scan it

 

I take it G drive is some type of flash drive? You might try Glary Undelete.

Might also try this: http://www.voidtools.com/ for file searching.

 

G is an external USB.. teragig

 

Maybe it's the size of the external. It scans mine without problems but it's only a 500Gig. See if Everything can scan the drive. It might at least be able to find some of the files you listed in your first post.

Glary Undelete might be able to succeed where Recuva failed.
