    As in power.
I'm or was running Linux on a 2.53 P-4 with a MSI 645E Max motherboard, with a 64 meg AGP video card.
I went and bought a external hardware modem to use with the Linux. Got every thing all set up, plugged in the modem and all hell broke loose. My Kvm switch went bonkers and I could then get into none of the computers, had to just power them off. Have since got the other three running. The Linux computer when I set it back up came on but I got an out of range on it??? Now I can get nothing, can't even get a fan to come on. There is power coming into the back of the computer and the switch is in the right position :) I took another power supply and plugged it into the mother board but still get nothing.
Is there a reset on the motherboard? power supply?

If you tryed another PS, maybe PS is ok, unless it fried and fried your mobo.
Mobo can be reset, or reset Cmos, Usually done by removing Cmos battery for minute or so, and sometimes by removing jumper momentarily, or combination of both.
If you have Mobo manual, instruction should be in there, if you dont can download here:

Is the KVM switch working now?

The switch is shot. After I got the computers back running I tried hookin it back up and it would do nothing.
I tried the cmos jumper to no avail, I'll try the combo of them both tomorrow. Thanks

The mother board is a MSI 645E max.
I thought you were referring to the "Max" in the mother board description so I confirmed what the "Max" was. It has a 645DX chipset but the pretty little sticker says 645E Max. I promise. :) If you were referring or thinking something else then don't read this post because it's like totally not relevant :)

Just tried the battery and the jumper, no go. I then took the chip out and switched it with another 2.53 I have and it works fine. Not the board just the chip. Any other ideas??
