Zone Alarm and Microsoft word

I have just cut and pasted Glenn's post (thanks Glen), into Word to save it into My Documents folder. " This is a comprehensive list of where to report specific internet troubles, I hope this helps all, Glenn".

Zone Alarm immediately popped up saying Microsoft Word was trying to access the net. Why? And what can I do to stop MS Word attempting this again.

I know I can just tell Zone Alarm to deny the access and remember the denial, but I would really like to know where MS Word is forcing this to happen.

Is it a register key that I can modify/delete? Is it hidden in the bowels of MS Word and I can't do anything about it, except deny it through ZA.

I call this thing "terrorist programming" when I can't retain control over my PC.

One of these might work,

In your dialup properties select "never dial a connection"

Then edit msconfig > startup, uncheck all MS Office-related programs. Reboot

Thanks, but I already have "never dial a connection" set. Also msconfig (startup) and Starter V5.6.1.38 do not show anything M$ related, that I can recognise. Any other ideas, anyone. Bazza
