Zone Alarm installation problem

Hello all,

I'm having a huge problems installing ZA 6+ free edition.

I recently installed version 6.5.7+ with no problems at all and updated to 7 shortly thereafter. ( BIG mistake)
I couldn't stand the 7 so I uninstalled it and tried to install the older version back. After the usual reboot my computer hang on the "welcome" screen for about a minute and then my desktop showed up with no icons or tool bar and just hang there.

After that, the only way I could get into my computer was in safe mode. I uninstalled ZA and my computer booted no problems. I tried it a few more times with different versions but the results were the same.
Any thoughts?

Try a clean uninstall and install the Pro triail version of 6.5.., it will revert back to the free version after the trial period.
