Anyone else getting lots of blocking alerts from Zone Alarm today? This is the most amount of activity I have had in along while. Can't even type out posts without alerts coming up. Not complaining though, just commenting. And yes, I do know how to turn the alerts off if I want to. Bazza

I have alerts off, so I don't know.
Have you updated yours? I still haven't. Have been waiting to see if bugs.

I updated last week and have had no problems. I think that they got it right this time!!

I'm getting nothing I don't always get...mostly Comcast trying to scan my system, as they do every 30 seconds or so, to make sure I'm not running a server.

I upgraded ZA last night, and haven't noticed any glitches yet. :)

Thanks all, maybe it is just AOL v7 failing to block them and ZA is picking them up. I am using ZA version 5.0.590.043 which I think is the latest, for a while now. Only complaint is that it seems to forget that I have previously given the OK to connect to certain sites and clicked on the appropriate box. Bazza

Still lots of alerts today. Most are coming through port 1026. What is 1026 mainly used for?

Inbound traffic to that port is mainly Messenger spam. Annoying, but not malicious.

Turn off the alerts & just let it do its job. ;)

Yup, that's the latest one. Still no problems for me, it's blocked 546 intrusions since I upgraded, and as always about 95% of them originate from Comcast, but I don't have alerts turned on so I don't notice.

GT, have done. I wanted to leave alerts open for a week or so just to check on the number and frequency. No point getting ulcers when you can set (off) and forget. Bazza
