Zone Alarm Pro

:cry I stupidly downloaded this programme & after running their scan was advised of Trojan Killav-152 was in my Norton 360 Registry. However on doing a Norton Full Scan no virus was found. Norton Support advised this is a ploy to enciurage you to pay for Zone Alarm's Full Programme and was advised to delete the Zone Alarm Pro. But this can only be done if you alter Zone Labs Target and then remove the programme whilst your computer is in Safe Mode!!! So be warned folks and be very wary of Zone Alarm Pro or AVG

 

I had been using ZoneAlarm firewall for a while last year without any problems, as far as i know it's kind of good and trustworthy company.

 

Norton will tell you that because Zone Alarm is better and is taking some market away from Norton and MacAffee. The ZA was finding a signature in the Norton database. That is why you should not have more than one AV program installed at a time.
I have had the best of luck with Zone Alarm for the last 2+ years, I will never use the Norton again. My Zone Alarm has caught much more than Norton and Zone Alarm is more customizable for individual situations.
Get rid of the Norton and go with ZA.

tarminat8or is right you should only be running one av and one firewall at a time or the two programs will conflict and you wont be properly covered.i myself prefer avg and ZA over nortons merely because they are both free and far more user friendly and accurate. i also downloaded the pro version of zone alarm free one year subscription and have had no problems with it,i have also used avg for several years without any problems,i recommend both programs to all my friends who don't want the nortons package that comes bundled on new computers from the shops that's the only way they can sell their product.
