That was the reason I switched to Sygate. My speed wasn't affected, but it seemed like there was a huge memory leak. Upon a reboot, everything would be okay. After the machine staying up for a full day (24 hours) I noticed that ZA was taking a bit more memory. Eventually after 2 days (48 hours) ZA took up about 500 megs of memory.

When I had ZA, every time I started up the computer and connected to the internet it froze. So I got rid of it and everything was ok. Mind you, that was a while ago now. [about 7 months]. I've heard of that sort of trouble with ZA a lot.

I think ZA best version was 4.5, never had any trouble there.
As for the newer versions, I wasnt a happy camper.
I'm on Broadband never had speed issues, but simply connectivity issues & not all the time with web and home network.
Switched back to 4.5 all was good again?????

Now all my PC's running Sygate and couple just using XP's

I imagine ZA will evently fix or release newer version, I would certainly try em again.
There are many users of ZA who dont have any problem's
