Zone Alarm,which version ?

    Hi,
    I would like to know which Zone Alarm free version is the best out there. Is it the current ZoneAlarm Free 6.5.737.000 or is there a better early version.

    Alot of people say that ZoneAlarm started going downhill after version 5. I haven't tried before and after to say for sure, but I've tried a later version, and I wasn't impressed.

    Thank you Mada,I do not have any problems with the new version I'm just curious if the older ones are better.

    There were some issues recently that were addressed. Personally, I found the free version did the job, the pro versions are a bit more geeky and not for the "set it and forget it" group.

    Of course, if your behind a router, your already protected, though I use Windows Firewall alongside my router for additional protection.

    In terms of security, i'd have to say always go with the latest version, I think it is in terms of stability and speed that people say 5 was better

    ZA Free Version 4.5 was the Best, the version's after were problematic, then I discovered Sygate :)

    I've been using Sygate's free version ever since and not one single problem! :p

    I use Jetico Personal Firewall and its great, and it has less vunerabilities that ZoneAlarm.

    BTW thats a nice picture you got there. :)
