ZoneAlarm and blocked Intrusions

I just finished a reinstall today.. Installed ZoneAlarm.. When I left the room to see the yankee/marlins game I had 33 blocked intrusions. When I came back I had 530 blocked intrusion!! In the last 5 minutes, that number has jumped up to 554! It keeps going up not one at a time but like 10 at a time.. is this normal?? Before, I never had this many blocked intrusions.

 

I've been getting alerts bad for the past 3 days myself.
I have NIS, and usualy average 3 or 4 alerts per WEEK.
But the past 3 days, I've been getting around 20-30 an HOUR !!!
Must be a new TEAM of script kiddies out there. LOL

 

can these in any way be related to this? this is from my router:

im really not understanding a lot of that, but i really suspect i have another virus or something sigh, ill live in hell forever.

 

hotfix setup error:

hotfix setup has detected that the version of the system installed is newer tan the update you are applying to it.

 

also, im on windows xp pro.

 

oh thats fine, thanks for your time to help me, i very much appreciate it. But if you look in my wireless thread in the software forum, you will see i've had this and other wierd things in my router log, but i had a virus, now thats gone, but im still getting some teardrop things and dropped packets, but thats it, there was other stuff i was getting before.

 

Yikes!! to see that many attempted intrusions ain't it? It's kinda normal, but the log file size can be kept low by "Log only highly rated program alerts" on the "Alerts & Logs" main page. A year of high alerts is only about 160KB of logs for me.
