Hi. Returning after much previous help, especially from abri (thanks).

I downloaded ZA Free and used it happily for awhile. Then (I found out) it was stopping my aol internet connection. Went back to using Windows firewall for a time until lowering the internet setting in ZA to 'medium'. Then it told me to download an update....

That's where the real probs began. Kept getting the error message 'not compatible with win32' or something. I deleted it, downloaded it again, downloaded ZA itself again (also from the Majorgeeks link!). They ALL give the same message when trying to run the exe prog.

Using Win XP sp2 and AVG.

    Would another firewall be better?

    Any help appreciated........cheers.

Thanks, I'll check those out. btw...how do you allow aol on ZA? I couldn't work it out. Apart from something to do with IP addresses.

I might just try one of those other two. Which to go for, though.... is it just personal pref? And I've heard ZA is difficult to remove. Any tips on this..?

    thanks a lot.....again!

I just installed comodo, like it a lot, and I've used a few of the others...main thing was--during installation--not to install the searchbar, unless you want it, for some reasons--but other than that I like the way it's set up, and the diagnostics when I have problems...or just get curious...

    best wishes

That's cool. Thanks Mark....and all. ZA gone now.

I have a new query....sorry...decided to clean up XP as per the other thread here

    http://forums.majorgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=139313

Going well, but have stalled as I don't have the XP disc (and it may not be a legit copy) in order to get XP Recovery Console. The link to download it via bleepingcomputer doesn't seem to take me to the right place. Can I get it from anyone on here? I take it I shouldn't run Combofix without it.

    with continuing appreciation

    Andy
