Hey, I just installed ZA and it all seems to work fine...BUT msn messenger! it wont login! how can I fix this? windows messenger works but not msn.

 

If you disable ZA, does MSN mesenger work?

 

yes, it seems it has fixed the problem.

 

Don't run your PC without a firewall just to get Messenger going.

Try ZA and Trillian instead, or choose another messenger program from the link below

Trillian works perfectly in conjunction with Zone Alarm (free) on my XP SP2 laptop.
It also can be used in place of other Messenger type programs, like Yahoo, etc.

Umm, bigbazza, the OP is using ZA. I only wanted to see if ZA is disabled that his messenger would work.

Now, one needs to goto the programs section of ZA, and make sure that the checkmark is set on that particular program.

 

Thanks, theefool. I was worried that Messenger was being used WITHOUT a firewall. That was how I read the reply. Trillian is more versatile and better than Messenger anyhow. That is why I suggested the ZA and Trillian combination. Bazza
