I'm in the process of cleaning a BUNCH of malware from a PC. It's about 90% finished, but I was wondering if I can safely delete the entire Domains key (purple box in screen shot) and then create a new empty one. If you take a look at the screen shot, you'll see why I want to delete it. In the green box on the left is just a VERY small section of the malware/rogueware/drive-by sites that were visited on this PC and I want this info off the PC. I don't think leaving it will hurt anything (will it?), but I don't want to remove it if this crapola is needed for some reason. The full path to the Domains key I'm referring to is in the red box at the bottom of the screen shot.....

    THANKS!

    Hi dlb,

These may be blocks inserted by Spywareblaster or Spybot S&D. check whether either or both of those are installed, you should be able to remove them using those apps if you feel you need to.

Good luck, sounds like a fun challenge ^^.

PS. Just checked mine, loaded by Spywareblaster/Spybot - just like yours, the value of 4 must mean they're blocked, should be fine to leave them (or update the apps and replace them with updated blacklisted sites).

I just checked and my list seems to match yours. I have SpywareBlaster. Spybot has never been installed and this is a fairly new install, about 3 or 4 months, rarely used to surf and hasn't had malware, I suspect these are part of the over 12,000 items that SpywareBlaster blocks.
