    hey guys/gals

i was at work yesterday and accidentally opened "my newtowrk connections" (winXP pro) and noticed that i had an open network connection to www.zoo-logique.org. now ive never been to zoo-logique so i had no clue how i had an established network connection from there, so far all ive found out is that the site is in french (a language i dont speak) and that some of the subfolders in the connection have strange files that i know ive never downloaded myself

so my real question is, is this spyware, a virus, a spammer, or just nothing at all, any info would be greatly apprectiated

    thanks,
    BUD
ps sorry if this isnt the correct forum for this.

Are you sure you are saying all of this correctly? Network Connections are physical interfaces on your PC (like an LAN port). What you gave (www.zoo-logique.org) is the URL of a website? It is not a network connection? And network connections do not have sub folders. Perhaps you meant to say you have a directory on your computer named www.zoo-logique.org and it has subfolders. Is that what you meant?

as strange as it sounds i have it under "my network connections". that is why it is troubling me so much, if i go to my network places from the my computer icon i have an open connection to the 2 servers at my office, and anoter to this www.zoo-logique.org stuff, i have no idea how it got there, and since i dont speak french i know its not from visiting the site.

Hmmm? Can you get properties information on it? How about Status info? What actually shows on the Network Connections window for Name, Type, Status, Device Name, etc.

Try to uninstall, or disable, or delete etc. If you did not install then you obviously should not need it.
