    Please help..

I have been very careful about downloading anything onto my pc, but yesterday is seemed to get something from a dodgy website I was directed to.

I found three files a.exe, b.exe, c.exe, which I managed to delete. Since then any MalWare/Spyware software I try and run just crashes halfway through the check.

Spybot was the first, as soon as the Scan starts it crashes. Then when I try and launch it again the Windows Error "Windows cannot access the specified device, path, or file. You may not have the appropriate permissions to access the item."

I also checked the Task Manager and found MSB.EXE running. I have also moved that file to the Recycle Bin.

I have tried most of the software suggested in the Sticky post, and most of them crash before they output a log.
I did manage to get a log file from RootkitBuster.

Any help would be greatly apperciated.

    Thanks

P.S. I have turned off User Accounts as well. Sometimes when I turn the computer on, the graphics are blank, the background is black, there are no icons, just the "square" where the icon should be. But the computer functions correctly (relatively)

    Further Update :

I have tried all the other ideas, such as changing the name of the exe, renaming the malware folder etc.
I did manage to get HJT to work, but again it crashes before it outputs any logs. Once HJT has run once it somes up with the same error as above. I have managed a trick to try and run it multiple times, which is to run it from a USB drive, but still crashes before a log can be output.

I have also found that sometimes the explorer does not start, so there is just a blank screen, but I can launch Task Manager, and log off.

Slowly but surely getting some logs.

I have put the log files below. The SmallTroj.Tube file has been deleted, and then the next scan ran successfully. I have to run this app from the USB Drive, and the icons or background are still not visible.

Sorry about this, but seem to be making progress and am getting more logs.. finally got ComboFix to run, and that has given me icons and background back. I have got a HJT log as well now.

Still will not let me run any other SpyWare programs, such as AVG, Norman, Spybot.

    Any help is greatly apperciated.

    Thanks

    Welcome to Major Geeks!

Please read ALL of this message including the notes before doing anything.

Please follow the instructions in the below link:

READ & RUN ME FIRST. Malware Removal Guide

and attach the requested logs when you finish these instructions.
    • **** If something does not run, write down the info to explain to us later but keep on going. ****
    • Do not assume that because one step does not work that they all will not. MGtools will frequently run even when all other tools will not.

    • After completing the READ & RUN ME and attaching your logs, make sure that you tell us what problems still remain ( if any still do )!
    Helpful Notes:

    1. If you run into problems trying to run the READ & RUN ME or any of the scans in normal boot mode, you can run the steps in safe boot mode but make sure you tell us what you did later when you post logs. See the below if you do not know how to boot in safe mode:
    2. If you have problems downloading on the problem PC, download the tools and the manual updates for SUPERAntiSpyware and Malwarebytes ( links are given in the READ & RUN ME) onto another PC and then burn to a CD. Then copy them to the problem PC. You will have to skip getting updates if (and only if) your internet connection does not work. Yes you could use a flash drive too but flash drives are writeable and infections can spread to them.
    3. If you cannot seem to login to an infected user account, try using a different user account (if you have one) in either normal or safe boot mode and running only SUPERAntiSpyware and Malwarebytes while logged into this other user account. Then reboot and see if you can log into the problem user account. If you can then run SUPERAntiSpyware, Malwarebytes, ComboFix and MGtools on the infected account as requested in the instructions.
    4. To avoid additional delay in getting a response, it is strongly advised that after completing the READ & RUN ME you also read this sticky:
Any additional post is a bump which will add more delay. Once you attach the logs, your thread will be in the work queue and as stated our system works the oldest threads FIRST.
