Can't remove Antivir Solution Pro (tried Mekanic's, didn't work)

I recently discovered that Antivir Solution Pro was on my laptop, after much frustration, I tried several ways to remove it. No success so far.

I read through Mekanic's solution and tried that, no luck.
I tried this one too: http://www.softsailor.com/how-to/32770-how-to-uninstall-remove-antivir-solution-pro-virus-removal-guide.html only to discover it didn't work either.

I'm becoming more concerned because it is opening a wormhole and I don't want my laptop to be destroyed.

My laptop is a Dell mini inspiron running on Windows XP Home edition. I ran Malwarebyte's Anti-Malware several times and scanned my laptop with AVG anti-virus. I keep coming up with nothing. I deleted the two files Mekanic said to delete and made sure to reset IE, but I'm still having a problem with it. My default browser is chrome, and prefer that over IE and Firefox.

I did run a system restore twice before trying other possible solutions. The first time, there was no problem for about a half an hour, but then Antivir Solution Pro started up again. If I remember correctly, I believe I saw a Java window starting up. Maybe the virus came through there? But anyway, the second system restore didn't help at all. Another source said to try turning off the system restore points. Now I can't go back to any earlier dates. So this added to my frustrations.

My laptop is now running in safe mode with networking, however I can't get online. I do have another computer I am using, but I have no thumb drives, and my laptop doesn't have a disk drive so I can't download a Dr. Spyware or something on the other computer and upload to my laptop that easily.

    PLEASE HELP ME!!

    Thank you very much!

    Welcome to Major Geeks!

Yes that is why I answered that thread and stated that it likely would not since the infection uses random names for files, folders and registry keys and the infections will change how the work several times per day.

Run the below even if you have to do another system restore first to get yourself started.

Please read ALL of this message including the notes before doing anything.

Please follow the instructions in the below link:

READ & RUN ME FIRST. Malware Removal Guide

and attach the requested logs when you finish these instructions.
    • **** If something does not run, write down the info to explain to us later but keep on going. ****
    • Do not assume that because one step does not work that they all will not. MGtools will frequently run even when all other tools will not.

    • After completing the READ & RUN ME and attaching your logs, make sure that you tell us what problems still remain ( if any still do )!
    Helpful Notes:

    1. If you run into problems trying to run the READ & RUN ME or any of the scans in normal boot mode, you can run the steps in safe boot mode but make sure you tell us what you did later when you post logs. See the below if you do not know how to boot in safe mode:
    2. If you have problems downloading on the problem PC, download the tools and the manual updates for SUPERAntiSpyware and Malwarebytes ( links are given in the READ & RUN ME) onto another PC and then burn to a CD. Then copy them to the problem PC. You will have to skip getting updates if (and only if) your internet connection does not work. Yes you could use a flash drive too but flash drives are writeable and infections can spread to them.
    3. If you cannot seem to login to an infected user account, try using a different user account (if you have one) in either normal or safe boot mode and running only SUPERAntiSpyware and Malwarebytes while logged into this other user account. Then reboot and see if you can log into the problem user account. If you can then run SUPERAntiSpyware, Malwarebytes, ComboFix and MGtools on the infected account as requested in the instructions.
    4. To avoid additional delay in getting a response, it is strongly advised that after completing the READ & RUN ME you also read this sticky:
Any additional post is a bump which will add more delay. Once you attach the logs, your thread will be in the work queue and as stated our system works the oldest threads FIRST.
