Hello I was reading the Dell Dimension E520 Crashing Randomly (by tuco4life) and I have those same three files in my windows\temp folder. I tried following the instructions found in that forum, but the log file said that the deletion failed on those files. Perhaps I need to go back to the start. Can you help?

I also have a Dell Dimension E520 and it has been crashing for about a month and a half now. I am running Windows XP (SP3). I have tried numerous malicious software removals with no affect.

    Can you please help?

    Thanks :)

    Welcome to Major Geeks!

Yes you do/did have an MBR infection and still may have if those temp files have not gone away. You should double check after a reboot to make sure they are gone.

Note for future reference: The more you keep posting, the longer it takes to get a response. We work according to what the below sticky thread indicates. Thus if you keep adding messages, you could potentially never get a reply.
