After performing everything listed in my previous thread:

    http://forums.majorgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=177790

I have discovered that msconfig is no longer found.

Start, run, msconfig. Windows error pops up and states:

Windows cannot find 'msconfig'. Make sure you typed the name correctly, and then try again. To search for a file, click the start button and then click search.

Maybe there was malware in the msconfig file and I removed or deleted it out of one of the quarantines?

    How can this be restored?

Also, I have now found when executing my Yahoo SiteBuilder, brings CPU usage to 100% again. The highest one in the process list is javaw.exe, between 97 and 100 which I believe is used by SiteBuilder, as it is Java based.

    Try the below.

Copy the bold text below to notepad. Save it as fixme.reg to your desktop. Be sure the "Save as" type is set to "all files" Once you have saved it double click it and allow it to merge with the registry.
Make sure that you tell me if you receive a success message about adding the above
to the registry. If you do not get a success message, it definitely did not work.

Did that fix your problem with MSconfig?

SiteBuilder issues are not a topic for the Malware Forum. If you suspect you still have malware then you need to attach the logs that were requested in the READ & RUN ME which you mentioned in your other thread. Also if you do continue on with suspecting malware, you need to download and use the neweset version of MGtools.exe from the link in the READ & RUN ME since it has change several times in the last couple days.

Perfect, that worked. msconfig now working.

I am still suspecting malware, because of the problem with SitBuilder, I mentioned below and World of Warcraft will not open, it locks up the computer when clicking on the exe icon.

The problem with sending you logs is, when I set msconfig to normal startup, after rebooting most everything in the sys tray got started until a message popped up saying something about a security problem and the program will now close. When I hit OK on that message the pc locks up.

So what I did was a hard shutdown, when the pc was rebooting, I was able to get into msconfig startup, shut everything off and apply it, before that message popped up again. I want to tell you the exact wording of the message, but i didn't want to take the chance of selecting normal startup up and not being able to reverse it, just in case it locks up at the beginning of a boot, to where I cannot do anything at all.

Can I run the scans and send the logs, without selecting normal startup?

Still may not be malware. We shall see when we get the logs.

Yes but you will need to fix whatever is the cause of this at some point. It could somehow even relate to your problems.
