Problem running Panda ActiveScan

I have been working through the detailed procedures from "Read me First" thread and when I try to run the Panda ActiveScan in either safe mode with networking or normal mode, the scan completes but does not fix anything without a trial membership or paying. It also does not provide an option for saving a report, or if it does it may be getting cut off because the window that pops up doesn't allow you to see everything on it. Am I missing something? Is there a way to see everything on these popup windows?

    Thanks!

Yes it is true that is does not fix everything but it will fix a few major problems if it finds them. You do not need to pay for it and we do not care that it does not fix everything. We just need the log. And yes you must be doing something wrong to not be able to get the log. I have no problem doing it and neither do many others. But it is for some reason a challenge to many people. I have no iead why, it is so difficult for some people as the directions are fairly simple. In safe mode it is more difficult due to the screen size limitations. Try it again in normal boot mode and follow the steps in the below link:

    Using PandaActiveScan

It's not that the directions are hard (I'm more PC saavy than you might guess), but I just wasn't seeing the option to save a report. I ran a scan about 6 times today but never saw a place to click to save the report whether I closed the popup window or not. It says I'm infected, but I'm not sure with what yet.

Now what's happening for some reason, is it won't even let me run the scan anymore. It says it is running, but never scans any files. ??? Not sure why all of a sudden it won't run at all. Any ideas? I rebooted the PC twice to see if that would help, but no luck. (this is all in normal mode) I keep getting a data execution prevention error saying it needs to close down windows explorer and then it gets hung up when I try to send an error report to Microsoft.

    Thanks for your help.

Then just skip Panda and use the below tool. It is a very good substitute and will also fix what it finds. You can save a log with it too:

    Running Ewido Anti-Malware

    Okay, thanks.

I ran all of the procedures in Read Me First, except for the PandaActive Scan that I couldn't get to work in safe with networking or normal mode.
I ran Ewido per your instructions, and then the HiJack This. I did not run any other optional procedures mentioned, but I did run Spyware Doctor that I purchased.

I am attaching logs for Bitdefender, Ewido, and HiJack This.
    Avast caught Win32:CTX virus yesterday.

My only real symptoms that I am aware of is that I cannot write to my D drive, which usually occurs when I have malware, and when I have gone through these procedures in the past, it fixed this issue, but not this time. Avast also gives me error messages in monitoring my email, but I'm not sure what that is related to. Outlook Expressl also seems to have issues with loading new emails sometimes.

My main reason for running through these procedures was that I wanted to do a full system backup and wanted to be sure the system was clean.

    Thanks for your help!

    I meant to say I can't write to the CD-ROM drive (E).

Your logs really do not show any major problems! You should just cleanup the items in your email folder that Bitdefender could not fix. Also you can have HJT fix the two below lines:
    R0 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Local Page =
    R0 - HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Local Page =

If you cannot load new emails, it could be an issue with McAfee\SpamKiller . I have seen many PCs where McAfee keeps setting the incoming mailserver to 127.0.0.1 which is the local PC. Thus you cannot receive any emails until you set the server to the proper address. Then you get your mails. After rebooting McAfee changes it again. End result, I uninstalled McAfee from all of the PCs where I have seen this issue and the problem was solved. Either way, this is not a malware problem.
