Problem with Microsoft WINMM WDM Audio Compatibility

    Recently i've found I have no sound and there is a yellow cross next to the problem with Microsoft WINMM WDM Audio Compatibility on Device Mananger. I have read other threads and they recommend disabling it.

    So I have disabled it, and upon starting my computer the driver has dissapeared from the list and I still get no sound.

    Without more details it is difficult to recommend a course of action. What OS? Is this onboard sound or a sound card? What make/model/chipset? What have you tried so far? Uninstall/reinstall drivers? Chipset drivers? UAA? Please read the following link, then post again with more info for us.
