Start Bar/Tool Bar/Icons Flashing Windows XP Issue???

So I know this has to be some type of malware/greyware along with adware issue or possible a trojan virus that is causing my Operating system to act up. When i start up my computer it hangs for a bit and then once it finally loads Windows XP (Home) My Start/Taskbar along with the Desktop Icons begin to flash in about a 5-7sec increment and continues to load task bar icons over and over again. Ive ran Norton and found that there were Trojans viruses along with malware and greyware. I also ran SuperAntiSpyware and it too found issues. But after many attempts of getting rid of it (the software said it had ridded of the issues but after rescan it reappears), all attempts have failed. Here is what was found (there is more, but these were listed as Major Issues):

Trojan-Downloader.Win32.VB.dck
Trojan.Win32.VB.ddn
Trojan-Downloader.Win32.Homles.bz
Trojan-Downloader.Win32.Small.buy
Hoax.Win32.Renos.Vaoz
Trojan.Win32.Agent.lom

There were others, but wasn't able to write them down. This is real annoying and was hoping someone here could possible help point me in the right direction or give me insight on how to rid my computer (already tried alternate software). Not sure if my Exlplorer.exe file has become corrupt or what is truly causing this issue. I have to Ctl+Alt+Delete to access the Task Manager to do anything. Please Help!

I apologize for the bumping of this thread. I actually decided to use the search bar (go figure it usually answers 90% of questions people have!) and i read what you had posted for another person about how to deal with removal of malware and grayware. It worked like a charm and now my comp is back to normal. I read your post on MSCONFIG and plan to clean that up as well and not use it as a tool to dictate what progz start at load of windows. I appreciate all the help you and this site has brought. It actually is one of the best help sites ive seen for computer related issues. I will continue to use it (In accordance to the rules of the forum ).
