Some days ago my friend's pc (XP sp3) was affected by a virus.I didn't remember its name but its function was that it didn't let the user to open any application or execution, i tried installing new OS but invain than I tried kaspersky, avast, malwarebytes etc but result was same.Than suddenly nod smart security shows virus name which was some kind of boot sector virus. At that time we download 2 virus removals one was tds killer and second was avast removal(didn't remember its name). and job was done. After that one day my friend came to me with his flash drive for some data copy paste from my computer.when he gone I found boot sector virus in my pc.And my computer is working fine but some times it conume much memory specially on fire fox.And my eset smart security(updated) shows this warning

    Code:
3/2/2012 9:46:40 PM	Startup scanner	boot sector	MBR sector of the 1. physical disk	probably unknown TSR.BOOT virus	unable to clean
I have alot of data in my hard drive and I dont want to loose it at any cost.As i have read many articals on it in which they said

DO NOT use any TOOLS such as Combofix or HijackThis fixes without supervision.

Doing so could make your pc inoperatible and could require a full reinstall of your OS, losing all your programs and data.

And one dude mentioned how to remove it(See in attachment) but I need experts opinions So kindly help me out . I have spend alot of my time to make that data and i dont want to loose it.

Don't bump!! It only hurts you!!

Go to the below link and follow the instructions for running TDSSKiller from Kaspersky

Be sure to attach your log from TDSSKiller

Please also download MBRCheck to your desktop.

See the download links under this icon [IMG]

    • Double click MBRCheck.exe to run (vista and Win 7 right click and select Run as Administrator)
    • It will show a Black screen with some information that will contain either the below line if no problem is found:
      • Done! Press ENTER to exit...
    • Or you will see more information like below if a problem is found:
      • Found non-standard or infected MBR.
      • Enter 'Y' and hit ENTER for more options, or 'N' to exit:
    • Either way, just choose to exit the program at this point since we want to see only the scan results to begin with.
    • MBRCheck will create a log named similar to MBRCheck_07.16.10_00.32.33.txt which is random based on date and time.
    • Attach this log to your next message. (See: HOW TO: Attach Items To Your Post )

    Then please follow these instructions:
