Ok so *waves* Hi there, im new :D you can call me lass :) i tend to jibber alot so ill try keep it to a minimum and just get out the facts as im in some desperate need of some help.
My Pc has been dragging behind me for some time now, weeks id say, and when ive had the time Ive scanned it with everything possible (is hoping you can prove me wrong on that note) and nothing is being picked up. Now I could be being really slow or theres something a little more deep rooted.

    Symptoms are :

Random files appearing on my DT. also throughout my Pc.
Redirecting Issues, not so much lately (i dont think)
Programs displaying themselves as other programs so i will install.
    Big dips in network connection.
windows update installing the same thing like 30 times.
    duplicate files and install directories.
random processes maxing out in TM and dropping before i can target it.

I wil add more if i remember also have read the post on newbies and the rules. I have done most, and will continue to until i hear back from someone :)

    Here are my Specs :)

    Welcome to Major Geeks!

If you have restored your PC to factory defaults then you should not be having malware problems unless you are reinstalling something that is putting the malware back again. Let's see if your PC shows any malware.

Please read ALL of this message including the notes before doing anything.

Please follow the instructions in the below link:

READ & RUN ME FIRST. Malware Removal Guide

and attach the requested logs when you finish these instructions.
    • **** If something does not run, write down the info to explain to us later but keep on going. ****
    • Do not assume that because one step does not work that they all will not. MGtools will frequently run even when all other tools will not.

    • After completing the READ & RUN ME and attaching your logs, make sure that you tell us what problems still remain ( if any still do )!
    Helpful Notes:
    1. If you run into problems trying to run the READ & RUN ME or any of the scans in normal boot mode, you can run the steps in safe boot mode but make sure you tell us what you did later when you post logs. See the below if you do not know how to boot in safe mode:
    2. If you have problems downloading on the problem PC, download the tools and the manual updates for SUPERAntiSpyware and Malwarebytes ( links are given in the READ & RUN ME) onto another PC and then burn to a CD. Then copy them to the problem PC. You will have to skip getting updates if (and only if) your internet connection does not work. Yes you could use a flash drive too but flash drives are writeable and infections can spread to them.
    3. If you cannot seem to login to an infected user account, try using a different user account (if you have one) in either normal or safe boot mode and running only SUPERAntiSpyware and Malwarebytes while logged into this other user account. Then reboot and see if you can log into the problem user account. If you can then run SUPERAntiSpyware, Malwarebytes, ComboFix and MGtools on the infected account as requested in the instructions.
    4. To avoid additional delay in getting a response, it is strongly advised that after completing the READ & RUN ME you also read this sticky:
Any additional post is a bump which will add more delay. Once you attach the logs, your thread will be in the work queue and as stated our system works the oldest threads FIRST.

Other than what has already been removed, I'm not seeing any malware issues in your logs.

Are you still having any problems? If yes, exactly what?

Hey again. So glad I found something, thought i was going mad.

Sorry to say things still dont seem right. Still getting random folders appearing everywhere, some have actually been moved to different locations. multiple folders with programs being copied and renamed slightly differently. windows update is failing everytime it tries to install things. i am going to be bald soon. literally pulling my hair out here :D

Am glad I found the viruses though so don't think your help isnt appreciated.

Norton has just blocked A heuristic Virus.....Suspicious.mystic. this is very frustrating lol

Please be more specific. Give exact examples with names and file folder/file paths. As I cannot see what you are referring to and there is nothing in any of your logs to indicate malware or what you are talking about. Also I don't know of any malware that would do what you are saying. In your 1st message you said something about random files appearing on your Desktop. Nothing was on you Desktop other than what you put there or what Windows itself put there ( like desktop.ini ).

Windows update has dozens of reasons for failing. Most of them are not due to malware.

If Norton is finding something, you will have to tell us exactly where. Names of infections are not very helpful by themselves. Many heuristic detections are false positives.
