Default mfc45.dat is it infected?

i've done at several scans of my laptop with avg 2013 (it has windows xp) and it keeps saying that mfc45.dat is corrupted I've even done some online scans and there was a few hits
i've even scanned my laptop with malware bytes in safemode but it found nothing and i've uninstalled avg and installed avast and did a full scan and it found nothing (but it did say some of the files for some of the programs on my laptop where password protected.)
i have tried to delete mfc45.dat and then reboot my laptop but the file returns
has anyone had any issues with mfc45.dat and is it a false positive or a virus (and yes i did send a sample to avg a few days ago and again last night since i haven't heard back from them)
