Years ago I installed (check mark) abc spellcheck from this site. I had it in my favorites bar and used it a lot. Somehow I must have accidently deleted it. I cannot find it to reinstall. Mostly everything I have tried installs a whole toolbar, which I do not want. Can anyone help me find the one I had?
    Thanks. :confused

There is no program titled "abc spellcheck". There is something called abcspell. Perhaps you are confusing the program name with the picture of the icon?
I'm confused about the item you are looking for.
Here is a paid $30 program whose icon looks similar to what you mention but it only works for Outlook Express.
    http://abcspell-for-outlook-express.en.softonic.com/
It also only works for non-supported versions of Windows so it is not worth the money.

The fact that you mention it was in your favorites bar, leads me to believe that you are talking about a website because favorites are links to online sites.
I found two online sites that will check spelling.
    http://www.jspell.com/public-spell-checker.html
    http://www.spellcheck.net/

Then you can install a program called Tiny Spell which adds spell checking ability to lots of programs.
    Info here: http://www.technospot.net/blogs/add-spell-checker-to-wordpad-notepad/
    and clean download from MajorGeeks

found the (checkmark) abc is a function to check spelling in word documents. Downloaded iespell (most like the word spell checker) and was able to put in my favorites bar. Trying to figure out how to get and use an automatic spellchecker in Hotmail. Any ideas?
    Thanks for the help.

When I misspell a word, FF puts a red squiggle under it.
I typed an email in Outlook (same as Hotmail). I right click the word spelled incorrectly and FF offers me choices for the correct word.

    according to this description
Since hotmail is a webpage, it will work. Click the button and it will check your email after you are done typing.

Your post is puzzling. I see no need for a spellcheck add-on for IE. I'm using IE11 on my Windows 8.1 system to type this post and any misspelled words are immediately marked with a squiggly red line under them. It works the same for Outlook (formerly Hotmail). This is just a standard part of IE11; I have not added any spellcheck add-on.

I'm guessing Grandma Beth is still using XP and IE8, in which case a spellchecker might be useful. She refers to ieSpell which was last updated 02/2010. I'm pretty sure I used it myself years ago but can't now recollect any details.
