Heck with 'em. None of anyone's business but your own that you're not married and/or have no kids. My mom tried that with me for a while, but I set her straight. Of course, it helped that my sisters, all of whom got married in their early 20's, all got divorced within a year of each other in their late 20's/early 30's. :D

    Afternoon Sgt Tibbs,
You did get that my "matchmaking", was a joke that came about from a conversation we were having one night, I had GT telling me his story and Gina telling hers and it was just too similar and I thought they could share "tea and sympthy"! Call me Grandma Yetta! (Try it.....:D)

I would never actively meddle in the affairs of humans (or dragons, Wenchie suggests that is a no-no) unless someone gives me a lot of money. That is not likely to happen, so I'll happily tease instead, for free :D

I didn't even catch the reference to you until I reread it, Kiwi! I was just commenting in general on the first line, truth be told. ;)

Well, put it this way. I have two elder brothers. One is 50 and the other is 52 and neither is married or has a partner, a.t.m. They have in the past, but for various reasons, it didn't pan out. So age doesn't mean squat, i.m.h.o.

    (...and no - they aren't gay! :p )

Hell, I'm 45 and in a similar position, for the while, at least. I've had offers, but I have more important agenda(s) at this point in life (see my other posts if don't know what I'm on about). Doesn't make it any easier though, I'll admit!:(

I know :D and it doesn't pay to interfere (for real) unless you want to lose friends really fast.

H/J: My son just told me they say a vulture with a bunch of crows eating roadkill just a couple of miles from us. I have never seen one of them here, I thought that they lived Arizona. At Dperino's. :D
    Carry on.....

They can make a mess out of your car if you hit them.:(

Wow, muskybob that was a great link. I was surprised to hear that they live here, now I'm surprised that we don't see them more often.

    ((hug))

  16. muskybob

    muskybob Fish Tickler

You can tell the difference when you see them soaring. Their wingtips are tipped upwards, whereas an eagle or hawk's wingtips are level with the wings.

  17. lostkiwi

    lostkiwi MajorGeek

We do have a lot of hawks around here and of various types. There is still a lot of open ground for them to hunt so we see them frequently. Had one sitting on top of a Joshua tree in our yard one day enjoying its lunch, about 30' from the house. Haven't seen an eagle in the wild yet but will now look out for the vulture.

    Such an eclectic group!

WOW- I just read all the pages. Whew, what a ZIG-ZAG thread

I'm NOT surprised that it shows how much everyone LIKES each other here.

I'm surprised no one turned this into a POLL yet.

I'm surprised no one made us post a picture while we told our age!

I'm surprised no one else said they were 41 years old (unless I missed it) which is my age.

ENJOY the middle of the week - we're that much closer to the weekend.

    Re: Such an eclectic group!

It's been an odd old thread at times (usually gets a lot odder after a few of my posts! ) Everything from certain gaseous functions, to the meaning of life. What more could you want?

Most have come clean about their age, except for one or two notable exceptions (Phantom sits on hands, refusing to say who, out of self-preservation! )

We have ways of discovering such 'little secrets', heh, heh ;)

Mr Phantom, I noticed you added 3 years onto my age, not a nice thing to do to a birdie!
    Hint, Cano is "almost" 15.

Now get out in that kitchen and bake me a pie:p

'S okay AbbySue, to share your fear of flatulence story with all these gas bags here, no one is embarassed or anything ..
Hope your surgery goes well and about that, er, side effect. Walk as much as you can and drink lots of water. Trust me on this one, that works ;)
So nice to see you back again, hope all is going well :)

Wow! I got tired of reading ages and missed the best parts of this.

We need some kind of Jolly Roger icon on the main forum pages to show which threads have been thoroughly hijacked. :D

AbbySue, we'll be pulling and/or praying for you and your surgery. And Chris may be a clown, but he's a compassionate clown.

But if he gets too bad, let us know & we'll install a whoopie cushion under his car seat. ;)

Of Chris's whoopie cushion, sure. Of AbbySue's struggles, uhh, no. Post-surgery she's not gonna feel like clowning for a while.

Now, if anybody ELSE feels inspired to offer sound bites for the entertainment of all, feel free.

    Boccemon? Volunteer? :D

Errrrrr...Okay, I give up. I must be gittin' senile fer real 'cos I can't recall adding three years to your age (Phantom scratches head, while thing "Uh?...Wot?")

LoL!....Welp, I hope he's more "gas tolerant" than I am. I only have to hear the dreaded 'F' noise and I run like a man possessed!!!....so I've been told!  I think now a few of my close friends just let 'er rip to see the terror of my flight!!

    ....Enough said!! ;)

I did Psychiatric Nursing for while, long ago (Yeah, I know-figures!). So you'd think I'd be used to it - but NOPE! When I had to wash down patients etc (Yecho!), I used to tie a handkerchief over my face, soaked in 'Old Spice' after shave! My co-workers used to crack up completely every time over that one. *Sigh* I think I'm turning blue, just thinking about it!

(Phantom buries head in hands in shame!)

Being new, and not having been able to spend a lot of time here yet, I don't know if this has been posted or not, but this is a good way to give a general idea without being specific....

28 is a good age Teresa, so I'm sticking to it too! ;)
I need to change my profile!

I've been away from the forum for a couple of weeks (Hi everybody!) and have missed any updates on your granddaughter's condition, so I need to read up. I hope all is well. I too had experiences with the abdominal surgeries (Endometriosis, 7 laparascopes + hyst) so I know about all that gas they pump into your tummy, which may have a little to do with that discussion I had a few pages back regarding flatulence.... Ok, well maybe I'm just making excuses! LOL! Anyway, I hope the surgery goes smoothly... I'll be praying for you, and take pillows to sit on for the drive home!

    Hugs,
    Gina
