Black Icons on Desktop Problem (XP x64)

Hi!

The icons of my desktop gets a black background from time to time.
It seems to me that it occur when I open a lot of tabs in IE (32-bit).
Usually it dissappares after closing IE, but not this time.

Also: If I open a lot of tabs, IE hangs...

What is causing the problem, and how do I fix this?

No.. It`s really fast!

 

Right click on a open area of your desktop.

Go to arrange Icons.

Uncheck Lock Web Items on Desktop.

 

Thanks for youre replay, but I do not
have any "Lock Web Items" option...
I even did a search for it on my PC...
(Should I have it??)

Could my problem have something to do
with how much memory IE is allowed to use?

I wonder since it always happens after having
lots of sites open at the same time..

As mentioned before, IE always hangs if I
open "too many" tabs/windows, usually followed
by "black" icons...
