    I'm running Windows XP on a fairly new Dell machine. For a few days I was receiving this error upon logon to windows:

    The instruction at "0x00000001" referenced memory at "0x00000001". The memory could not be "read". Click OK to terminate or Cancel to debug.

    For awhile I didn't restart and could press OK and not have a problem. Then, after a reboot, the same error comes up and when I press OK it is followed with this error:

    Stop: c000021a{Fatal System Error}
    The Windows Logon Process system process terminated unexpectedly with a status of 0x0000005(0x00000000 0x00000000)
    The system has been shut down.

    Clicking cancel just causes it to freeze up. All I know for sure as that this doesn't sound good. I haven't made any hardware or software changes. Hopefully you guys can help me out of a problem yet again. Thanks.
