Computer Has Gotten Stupid Slow

    Uploading log files except, MG unable to create .zip file. I have an MG filelog.txt but you said not to upload anything but the .zip. Thanks, Bill

    Please attach the log from running ADWCleaner....and re-run MBAM and have it remove all it found.

    TimW thanks for getting back to me so quickly. MBAM will not remove the 3 items it found. I was able to have it quarantine them however. I am attaching the ADW logs you requested. Thanks again for your help.

    You may wish to remove these in ADW:

    PUP.Adware.Heuristic HKLM\Software\Wow6432Node\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\{8407b7d7-6712-458b-a5a4-0d31c526b584}|DisplayIcon
    PUP.Adware.Heuristic HKLM\Software\Wow6432Node\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\{8407b7d7-6712-458b-a5a4-0d31c526b584}|DisplayName

    And please go to run / type in %temp% and remove all you can.

    After a reboot, tell me how things are running.

    Thank you Tim. ADW would only allow me to delete the entire Heuristic folder. Didn't let me pick and choose of the various items it had found. I went ahead and quarantined that folder. I was able to delete all temp files. That was a HUGE boost. Computer booted much faster. Firefox still takes some time to get going, but also better than it was. Gotta hit the hay. Up at 0300 Eastern for work. Will check in 3 days when I get back to see if you have any other suggestions. In the meantime, thanks again. Separate question. MalwareBytes wants me to buy their professional version. It looks like great software. How will Defender like that? And is it worth it? Also, as you can probably see I use CCleaner Pro. Is that worth renewing? Thanks again, Bill

    Good to hear. Personally, I don't purchase any software. You may want to ask about pro versions in the software forum. Do let me know how things are running.
