Computer sometine restarts on Shutdown

    About 1 in 5 times when I run the shutdown sequence, the computer will restart even though the "Automatically Restart" is unchecked in the "Startup and Recovery" section. I'm running Windows XP home ed. as an OS. Any ideas why it's doing this and how to avoid it?

    Just a thought - see if you can get into BIOS, check what actions should be taken when the power button is depressed...

    You might also check your Event Viewer for anything suspicious immediately before and after the symptom...
