    Some things pass you by in life, and MG on facebook passed me by, i'll have to join and post, that way it won't have passed me by any longer !

    I think it's a really :cool idea, even though i've only just found this thread, which is 2yrs older than god :-o !

    If only people would post there real photo's and names, you could get to know them more, you'll find me posting shortly, real name Elvis Presley, i think you might of heard of me LOL !

    Well, lets be honest, most of Facebook is groups and people connecting, its pretty safe and quiet there. Join the PedalToTheMetal group, we dont give a sh!t.

    Indeed it is, cool people, do they really hang out on Facebook, they may well do, depends on the group.

    Facebook in the main is a place for folk to post inane diatribe of their daily lives, boring as hell in the main, I dont need to know like Twitter if someone has just seen a dog with a superman cape on! of that they are in the supermarket buying sprouts.... please do get a life if thats what is posted on your FB page.

    Although some FB groups as in Majorgeeks and Pedaltothemetal are just groups of likeminded folks, no harm no foul posts.


    "cool people" well various meanings and at present I'm "cool" freezing my butt off at this moment in time so I'm cool, but then I'm "cool" anyways as I use Majorgeeks as my tech support area, so subjective yes but has merit at times, as "cool" folk use Majorgeeks as their free tech support place :)

    I agree. I post less and less in the past few weeks. About 10% of Facebook users have no other life and they drive me nuts with their daily dribble.

    I am watching these people now trying to save an old neighborhood grocery store. I never heard them try and save the 2 schools they were closing, nor start a group page to stop taxes from being raised and it really pisses me off rather then enjoy the intent of Facebook.

    I have FB page but only was to find an old friend, dont post on it at all, may look at it now an again to see what nut has potsed on it reather than email me as I keep telling them!

    Twitter makes me laugh as many politicians and businessmen use it, me thinks if they have time to tweet then.. what the hell are we paying them for as they have too much free time if they can tweet!!! ;)


    Indeed Tim, some FB groups are weird as hell, as you mention why save a grocery store and not schools!!! teach our kids to know what veggies are first!

    I have on a slight alternative thought been watching Jamie Olivers program from the USA on educating the folk of Huntingdon on good diet (the Food Revolution), started off as all being aggressive against him, only to slowly thing he is actually right in the diet of our kids, come on when the school districts admins think friench fries are vegatables and they think that a milkshake that has excessive sugar is ok as the kids will get some calcium over the plain old good milk is ok, then we have to worry!! and kids dont know what a tomato is!

    Although, I like Jamies's rustic style of cooking. Lots of vegetables as well.

    We had some rip off groups and other issues causing confusion. If you are logged into Facebook, this should work:

    Again, we are waiting for validation of our copyright and owndership of Majorgeeks so that we can have /majorgeeks. The wheels turn slower at Facebook than Ebay when you need something.

    Now I totally feel like a stalker. Two high schools and a market on the "county" Hwy? The place that hasn't even been there for a year?

    Facebook is fine one or twice a month. Post some Christmas party pictures that a bunch of the fb friends are in or something else that pertains to people i"m connected to.

    Today I shared a link to the state site for unclaimed property. I haven't been on that site in years, I found a stock, found 3 things for my brother. I think it's my civic duty to relieve the state of the burden of tracking my lost money. One fb friend has already found $. I would have emailed it to the same group if I didn't have facebook.

    I'll like the MG page but I already have sent the Read & Run link to just about everyone i know on the planet.

    What exactly does this new button do? I clicked it and it opened a small window for me to log into FB, but then it just disappeared. Currently it is showing 860 people liked it. Does it do anything else? Will it wash my truck? Can I order pizza thru it? :-D:-D

    meh i don't know. i'm still proud of my facebook ignorance (never thought i'd be proud of any ignorance but hey). i'll have one of the millions of people bombarding my new facebook explain it. you would think the annoying folks would figure it out, i haven't spoken to ya since the last family reunion/highschool for a reason! :cry
