Hi Jack, do you have the latest Adobe Acrobat Reader installed?

If I do use Firefox, I for some reason installed this, most likely really good reason why I did to open or save PDFs, https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/636/ always found that opening PDFs in the browser slow, no matter if its FF or IE, so I prefer to Download and Open from the PC.

Realize this may not solve the problem at hand, but a good pdf reader is Foxit Reader.

Adobe was giving me problems, took a long time to open, would freeze my browser at times, used a lot of resources.

Uninstalled Adobe and now use Foxit Reader as my default pdf reader. Opens fast even when opening in the browser, browser doesn't freeze, light on resources. Has the same features as Adobe.

    Can be downloaded here: http://www.majorgeeks.com/download.php?det=4763

A comparison of Adobe and Foxit can be found here: http://pcmech.com/show/opensource/927/

Just thought I'd throw this in.
