After it stormed is got a little cooler here, it's been in the upper 50s for highs. People around here panic when it gets below 60 for real.

If it ever snows here, the people around here go crazy, they will stock up as if we're having a blizzard and will be losing power for years.

 

Its 7:21 and its 52 outside with an expected high of 72 Ahhhh-California!

 

i hear you lol. temerature 'plummeted' to 65*f night before last. we dont have any form of heating, so we had to snuggle up under blankets to watch telly. (ps. BEAUTIFULL day today)

 

LOL, right now it's 46' F and it's chilly outside. This is the coldest it's been in a while. I think tomorrow morning the low is like lower 30s, if it does drop below freezing we will have numerous fire calls.

I dont like talking about people but we have some stupid people. We had a call last year of a house fire, we get there and go in and find the floor heater that started the fire was about six inches from a CURTAIN!!!! I mean they put the big bold red words on there for a reason, it's kind of hard not to miss it or at least glance at it.

 

that is even funnier because I am from Baldwin Co I went to high school and college in Mobile, I thought I read somewhere that youwere in birmingham but Mobile is really cool

What a difference a week makes. 2-4 inches of snow back in Chicago was ho-hum, but it's enough to shut Memphis down completely. And I'm supposed to work Saturday and Sunday. I hope Bubba doesn't clobber me in his big ol' SUV. Cause Bubba don't know how to drive in snow.

I havn't checked the forcast, I wish snow would could as south as me but I doubt it will. If it gets too cold here, the state will freeze to death.

I'm about 30 miles north of Hernando, just south of Memphis & the MS state line.

I guarantee you that all grocery stores will be gutted before tomorrow night. LOL.

Yeah, here too it's 31' F right now and supposed to get to I think 29' F tonight. People around here get crazy when the temprature gets this chilly. I'm kind of mad because it gets cold now, after hunting season goes out.

 

It's mid-summer here, so the only snow I'll experience is sticking my head in the deep freze - which is mighty tempting in the 100 deg. heat, I'll admit.

 

it has been decidedly 'chilly' over here. temp was 63*f when i woke this morning. and last night again we had to snuggle under blankies to watch telly. there is snow on mauna kea, but not a lot, so i dont know where the cold is coming from or why. its not normal though.

 

All of this weird weather is due to La Niña. Probably what's going to cause us to have another bad hurricane season.

Snow is coming here supposedly. Calling for 6-12 which means none or three feet. I would like to see one more snowstorm before spring.

 

Changed from rain to snow a couple hours ago. Lovely quarter-sized flakes, beautiful white frosting on the trees & bushes, half-a-million people sliding into each other.

 

I saw the weather report on TV this morning for PA...looks like you guys are going to get it bad!

Well, I'm at work 'til 7:30. The girls here would probably freak out if I started hugging them.

Doesn't show much at night, but actual white stuff in Memphis area is pretty rare.

 

We got an inch or so of snow last nite, and tonite it should drop down to 0 or below. Throw another log on the fire. gonna be a 3 dog nite.

It's about an hour before we get stormed on. It's about 55' F outside right now so all we going to get is a mess.

I wish the temprature would drop to 20 and then rain like crazy, it would be pretty then but this is going to be messy.

Well the front has moved on thru and the temperature is dropping, it's about mid 40s here right now. When everyone gets up and its 40 degrees they will start panicking for real.

 

Those are the best kind of hugs. The "unexpected WTF is he doing" hug.

Dang you BJ you sent me rain i hate waking up to rain.

 

I want the rain back now, it's about 40' F and the wind is blowing about 15-20mph, it feels like about 30' outside. I hate this kind of weather, I would rather have it rain then be like this.

But that can get you slapped, or worse, at work, fired.

 

im in north texas not far from the border between texas and oklahoma and its freezing here its 32 degrees brrrrrr i hate the cold

 

I wouldn't mind the cold if we had some snow. Having the cold and the rain get's everyone sick.

It is 28' F outside right now, cold as it's been all Winter. Now if it would only rain

 

well, when you get some of that frozen rain, send some photos.......I always thought night photos of frozen trees looked neat.....wobbles

im so sick of this cold weather i could scream

 

I'm sick of winter and we haven't had much. Going down hill with temps and snow this eve for about 5 days. I know we need the snow, but I don't have to like it. 50 degrees out now but will be in single digits in a coupla days. So far here on the front range we have had an open winter, but the mtns have been really getting it. Makes for great skiing and fills reservoirs, so it's great.

We had a few days last week/weekend in the 60's. As I drove into work this morning I saw some of the rich pink blossoms on trees. Today it is sub-zero, ice and freezing rain. The blossoms got it wrong. Snowline forecast for this weekend is 500ft. Time to put shovels in rigs, me thinks.
