IE6: Hyperlink leads to blank web page

I have Windows 98 and have already downloaded a new IE6, but in Outlook Express as well as any web page, when I click a hyperlink, a blank web page
appears. I really have no idea what to do next.

Sorry, I can't suggest a fix. (I on't run 98SE any more to heck possible settings). I can only suggest a work round. Instead of clicking the link, highlight it and press ctrl+c then open a blank page of IE and put the cursor in the address bar, press ctrl+V and nter. That should take you to the page.

 

Try Start, Run, type in (IIRC) msinfo32. On the menu click TOOLS. There should be a "Repair Internet Explorer". See if that clears it up.

thank you plodr<3<3 That is my only option now. I just wish I could find out what is wrong so that I can set it right. Afraid with W98, this may be the only option, other that buying another puter):

You might try checking to make sure that Internet Explorer is set as your default browser.
