I was born and raised in Baltimore, MD. I have a dog named Sneakers and a cat named Poe. My stepsister Becca is also my best friend. I like swimming, Becca and I go swimming almost every day in the summer. Pizza and coleslaw are my 2 favorite foods. I got banned from a forum for posting a picture of myself in a bikini on the "post a picture of yourself" board. :confused

Hi Emma and welcome aboard, not sure if you'd be banned here for a bikini shot but they would take it down I believe as this is a tech forum. Go to the malware forum, do the read & run run sticky there and post your results. As to your comments to what you want to do with those nasty folks, well I'm sure others feel the same way.:-D

The forum I was banned from is about photography. "I'm an amateur shutterbug" Bikini pictures haven't been deemed inappropriate since 1924 and even then it was only 80 year old nuns who were doing all of the complaining.

Well, what does their site regulations say? Some are puritanical idiots, others don't want a 14 year old posting bikini pics in case of trouble. What do I know eh? A forum is not a democracy, right?

I've noticed that it's always large middle aged ladys who get all bent out of shape when ever I post a picture of my future supermodel self in a bikini.

You know, you're not going to win friends by assuming that the fact that we don't want to see you in a bikini is because we're jealous... people can have other reasons for objecting to bikini photos, you know. You do know that, right?

 

I never planned on posting it here. It was posted on a photography forum in a thread for pictures of members. If I were a 25 year old woman I probably would have gotten a gold star.

You're above statement couldn't be more inaccurate. Most of the women on forums are mothers, grandmothers, aunts, etc. and have a problem with it because they are mature enough to know what happens to girls that would post such pictures in the first place. It has absolutely nothing to do with age, weight, etc. A mature man would be of the same frame of mind.

Those that would encourage a child, yes...you are a child, to post such pics is only after one thing. A quick (sick) thrill. If your father says it's ok to post such pics then all I can say is I find that to be really sad.

At the end of the day, this is a tech support forum, not a bikini forum. Posting pictures of yourself scantily clad will NOT be permitted. It would also be in your best interest to not keep referring to these pictures in various forums. You are portraying yourself in a very unflattering way as if you are soliciting for requests to see the pics and have the "guys" comment on them to boost your own ego.

Enough is enough. Understood?

I would never think about posting that picture here, only because it has nothing to do with this forum... unlike the "photography forum" that encourages members to post pictures.

Again there is nothing wrong with a 14 year old in a swimsuit. 14 year olds go swimming so we need these articles of swimwear to cover the body parts that need covering... there's creepy people out there you know!

There is when you post photos of it on a web site. 14 means you are a child in the eyes of the law. A web site that hosts pictures of you in a bikini can be accused of distributing child pornography, and they would lose such a lawsuit, and the owners of the website could be facing time in jail as a result of you uploading those pictures and they not taking them down quickly enough.

That's why they banned you, and that's why it's such a bad idea for you to do it. And your father should have known that.

You have continually made reference to the pictures including letting members know how they could see them in the post I deleted.

Additionally, I never said there was something wrong with a 14 year old in a bikini....you might want to try reading my post again. The point is, which you failed to comprehend, is there is a time and a place for bathing suits....this forum or anywhere else online is NOT an appropriate place for such images of a child.....it is in violation of several federal laws....contributing to the delinquency of a minor, trafficking in child pornography, etc. etc. Yes, it would be considered pornography b/c you are scantily clad, you are a child and the images are being distributed. If you think for one moment that b/c you aren't completely naked it wouldn't be considered child porn then you are sadly mistaken as is your father.

There are many, many sick people in this world and I can't stress enough, there is a time and a place for swim wear. A forum is not one of them especially when a child is involved.
