hey guys, me and my room mate installed a gig switch on the home network. his PC has a gigabit adapter built onto the board and when hooked up to the net work reads as 1000 Mbps

we installed Gigabit PCI adapters in two of the other computers and once installed they show up as a 10/100/1000 adapter but the speed on both pc's read 100Mbps not 1000. His PC reads 1000 so we know the switch is working. what are we doing wrong??

I tested the gig switch and all ports are 1000Mbps.
the equipment is a D-link switch that cost $60 on sale. Not sure of the model number as I'm at work right now.
