Had this issue where I turned off my phone outside to save the power while I walked several miles. Then upon putting it on again, my SIM is just NOT found. Turned off WiFi, flight mode was switched on and off, and I even attempted opening the darn drawer repeatedly. Nothing works.

Maybe the mobile is just becoming too outdated now, but it was working fine until a few hours ago. So this is kind of weird...

This is the Samsung troubleshooter page for this issue: How to fix 'No SIM Card Detected' error on Galaxy phone (samsung.com)

Test the SIM card on another phone. If the SIM card works fine on another device, then the problem might be with your phone. In that case, you may need to contact Samsung or visit a service center for assistance. If the SIM card does not work on another phone, then the SIM card might be faulty. You may need to contact your service provider and request a replacement.

    Thanks.

I emcountered an even more annoying issue with another Samsung phone I bought. I cannot remember the model number, but it has a green body. The WiFi only connects like briefly. It then cuts off in next to no time, forcing a manual reconnect each time this happens.

It never does this on any other devices I link to using my other phone, which is done via the hotspot.

Basically, I use my phone as a router. I pay for unlimited data, but I regret getting such a bad phone. I only did it so I could get a degree of stability, as using 4G indoors is a pain.

For the Wi-Fi issue, you can try some of the following steps to fix it - see also links below:

    - Check if the Wi-Fi network is stable and has a strong signal. You can use another device to test the network speed and connectivity.
    - Disconnect and then reconnect to the Wi-Fi network. You can also forget the network and add it again by going to Settings > Connections > Wi-Fi > tap the network name > Forget network > tap the network name again > enter the password and connect.
    - Start your phone in Safe mode by pressing and holding the Power button until the Power off menu appears. Then, tap and hold the Power off option until the Safe mode option appears. Tap Safe mode to restart your phone. This will disable all third-party apps that may interfere with the Wi-Fi connection. If the Wi-Fi works fine in Safe mode, you can uninstall the apps that may be causing the problem.
    - Reset the network settings as mentioned above.
