Password Gone

We had a power outage today when our computer was on. When we re-booted our computer, it will no longer take the password to boot the system.

There is no reason that the password should not work. What can we do?

 

Need a little more info...

Exactly what password, BIOS? Windows logon?

this password is the one to log onto windows.i have win xp home edition

 

This little utility should allow you to edit/reset the password

Click on "Bootdisk"

 

I actually found that by following a "forgot-your-password?" link Halo posted a few days ago.

figured it out!

launched in safe mode and removed the password....
