    hi,
just finished all the steps as advised in the cleaning procedure.
the link to how to use malwarebytes unfortunately didn't work or was empty:

    https://forums.majorgeeks.com/index.php?threads/using-malwarebytes-anti-malware.154672/

in malwarebytes, I made some changes in the settings using common sense, I hope they were the right changes:
    - I checked the option "collect enhanced event log data"
    - I unchecked the option "automatically quarantine malware upon detection"
    - In scan options I turned "scan for rootkits" on as well as "use expert system algorithms...."

before running MB I inunstalled jetclean because it pops up everywere so it can be that in the apps I ran before MB jetclean is being referred to.

before I ran the recommended apps, i used tweakers.com windows repair, jetclean and patchmypc to do some repairs and although it was a major improvement maybe it would have been wiser to have run them after the malware check maybe?

    anyhow, the logs are attached.

    thanks in advance, remi

thanks, but why does majorgeeks allow it on their software list then. this is where I got it from:

    https://www.majorgeeks.com/files/details/jetclean.html

position 23 in top downloads here.

I ran adwcleaner again, quarantined all, restarted windows and scanned again, the log is attached.
    two questions:
    - after restarting windows, the process "WaasMedic Agent Exe" all of a sudden was very active for a few minutes or so.
A google search told me that it is a windows service that becomes active when windows update needs repairs. I presume it was normal? I ask it because at first sight it seemed that windows update got damaged after the quarantine procedure?
    - adwcleaner says "you may optionally want to run a basic repair which willl reset Winsock and other basic settings to their default settings". is it recommanded to do that?

I need to talk with Tim about that program as you will note how old that listing is. Your log is clean, but you might want to rerun Tweaking.com to repair your updates.....and please tell me how things are running now. And yes, if ADW suggested those fix, I would recommend you do so as well as go to RUN and type in %temp% to remove all temp files.
