I'm glad I could help you.. as I had the same problems, and with the same chipset, I've sign up here just to tell you my experience.. and it's very nice to hear you had a good result!!

Notice that we are just circumventing the problem by not forcing the board to work as fast as it SHOULD. The "right" way to fix your instability is by replacing the old capacitors on your board with new ones..
