Awesome work, Publius. I'll continue trying to work on piecing together the clues we have so far...

 

Bingo. You nailed it Publius. I looked up a synopsis of that book and tried different characters' names for Username/Password combos and I got one. The username for the next clickable light (the "Dorothy and Scarecrow" one) is Yuki and the password is Gotanda. Both were main characters in Wild Sheep Chase. I guess that explains the "what comes after we tire of chasing wild sheep"...

 

If you click on the left eye of the "DON'T STRAY..." page you come to a page entitled We Face Each Other Across A Small Table. This page is completely black, with a few exceptions. There is hidden text at the bottom:

Also, there are several hot spots on the black image that post phrases in the status bar. These are:

No bed.
Wrapped in his sheep costume.
Narrow and cramped.
Piles of books.
Boarded up from inside.
It wasnt the old hotel either.
there was barely enough room to walk.
It was the sheepman's room.
Must've slept on the floor directly into the saucer.
No lights.
Walls and ceiling very, old, round, set with one candle in the middle.
What ever became of him? Worm-eatten.
No bath.
Any indication.
No closet.

I also found the next UN/Pw combination. If you click on the 3rd light from the end, the username is Yuki and the password is Gotanda.

I haven't even looked at this page yet... it is bed time.

hey guys ive decided to start trying to help frum where u guyz left off...im clueless on the robert silvers page...geezz..well just some things i notice.. if you click on the circles right above the gaurd rail or whatever that is..you get pictures of a plastic head and in each cirlce it gets closer and changes the pose...not sure what this means but thats all i found right now..anywayz looking forward to figuring this out with you guys byee

 

right above the 2nd cirlce their seems to be an object click on it and it brings a pop up with this on it

sumthing new found, when u click on the date of the picture, its brings up a page with a pop up with more jiberish, lol and when u click on displays a picture of what looks too be bars..but it seems so far anything u click on that page brings u back to the previous one.

I don't think this is gibberish, I think it is Navajo, though I don't know where to find a translation. I googled pieces of the phrase and got hits for several letters or portions of words in the Navajo language, but I couldn't find an online translator that could translate (tried babblefish and several others).

The only connection I can see to Navajo goes back to the Philip K Dick's Fortune Cookie pagewhich was a reference to Paycheck. Paycheck was directed by John Woo who also directed Wind Talkers -- the WWII movie about Navajo code speakers.

 

Hey, going back to what I said about the countdown timer on the popup of the first page...isn't June 6th DDay? Cause that's what time it's counting down to...interesting...

 

Hmmm, when I click the light with the FACE0F prompt, it leads to a site 1129524974645525182.htm. I used a hex/decimal translator (after trying a few other conversions) and got: FACE0FADEADBA80 ....possibly a U/N?

 

Yessss! I figured out that one. The prompt says "FACE0F: What darkness do we live?" I finished the first part by solving the decimal/hex deal: so the username is ADEADBABE. I googled "we live" and "darkness" and sorted through the results. I found a quote from Joseph Conrad in his book, The Heart of Darkness: "We live as we dream- Alone". That worked for the password, so at the FACE0F prompt,

Username: ADEADBABE
Password: Alone

If you view the source in notepad, Flash Animator, make sure you have wordwrap turned off.

And I agree with corndog, I would rather dig through this ourselves... I will be back on it tomorrow. (Anyone have a translation for that navajo yet?)

 

I emailed a (real live!) Navajo guy who runs a website about the code. He supposedly can translate anything...I'm just waiting for a reply...I have also found more Navajo in a few of the sources...we'll see.

 

I just started looking at this thing the other day, and I've followed along with what you guys are doing. I don't know if this is any help, or really means anything, but...when I was typing in the website the auto-finish had "www.thisisnotporn.com/faries.htm" & it's a picture of the boy on the beach.

 

NEWS FLASH!
When I went to the site today to pick up work, and I clicked on "Abandon all hope..." yada yada on the first page, it linked to a movie, called Roomies.avi...it's huge, about 36 megs. This movie is WEIRD! Unlike anything else on the site...I can't explain it...you'll have to watch it for yourselves.
