anyone have any clue how expensive it is to repair the springs of a 89 Nissan Micra?
apparently that car can't handle the weight of 4 teenagers so the springs are kinda broken now

I've got no clue what repair rates may be where you are, but some things to check into...

Some struts have replaceable springs, and some are integral, meaning you'll have to replace the entire strut assembly.

Make sure it's the springs sagging, and not rust allowing the entire strut assembly to cave up into the trunk. I had an old Escort that did that. Changing out the struts wouldn't have helped at all.

 

You need to go to a Nissan place... messing with suspension isnt good

I don't know about cars, well, only pretty classic ones.
But my boyfriend who was leaning over my shoulder does.

He didn't give a detailed analysis, as he was about to cook D I'm spoilt rotten!) But he said springs can't easily be fixed, more likely a replacement jobby.
He just replaced the springs on his car, he does that kind of thing, he's a 'boy racer'...

Or, a car modifier so he says, apparently there's a difference.

I say leave it! Throw some "dubs" on there, bolt on an ugly spoiler that serves no real purpose and get a 3 or 4 inch exhaust tip to connect to the 1 inch exhuast and you'll be stylin, Gee!
