I never used Whatsapp so I can't help. I also have nothing running iOS.

 

You answered that you have nothing running iOS.
What apps providing the best protection against viruses, malwares, spywares, fishing, etc. for smartphones and tablets would you recommend when running under android?

 

I run ESET. I had a paid version but I am now using the free version. I am very good at updating and scanning so I didn't need the added features.
I tried Malwarebytes but it bogged down my devices.
