I don't know insomniac...when I go into the wizard to import bookmarks...it wants me to import from a "bookmark.htm" file...which according to my search....doesn't even exist!! It won't let me choose to import from an application!! I don't know....I might be missing something here!?!? I have to admit though...if I could get it to load IE7, sans add-ons disabled...and a couple other things....I could come to really like it once I get used to it!! However....I have to say...I'm pretty good at sitting down with a new program/application and just playing around until I figure it out....but this one is not very user friendly!!!! We'll never get all these internet newbies off of AOL, when they see they have to learn something like that!!!!  :)

well, unless you backed exported your favorites in IE 6, you probably don't have a bookmarks.htm. your IE 6 favorites are stored in C:/Doc and Settings/your name/Favorites. not sure if IE 7 are in the same location.

    Exactly the same place ACE.

Roger.... try searching if your wanting to import FF bookmarks for this location and the file "bookmarks" C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\defaults\profile\bookmarks.html and see if they import?

Good luck, hope it works out and thanks for the feedback.

I just hope Micro$$oft fix it in time for it's release.

From what I saw it looks pretty good, although I doubt it would win over any firefox fans.

Not read anything in the MS windows media newsgroups, as it still has few bugs in Vista I'd wager its got the same ones in XP ( mentions of a post beta2 release but thats most likely to goto testers first before another public release ), so a final release so close to a beta2 release without RC1 or RC2 is very unusual.

We shall find out tomorrow tho :)

End of June was the slated date for the final release of WMP11, but reading the beta newsgroups... kinda think that may slip a month or two, but you never know.

(shrug) MS has a long tradition of not hitting release dates. I'd much rather see it late but improved. Although I don't ever expect "perfect" from MS, or most other large software companies, more debugging never hurts.

I can sense a SP3 for XP soon.

Probably about due. XP is getting pretty long in the tooth as far as software goes. I think Windows NT was up to something like SP6 before they stopped supporting it.

I have to go with the multiple security comments. And add one proviso, no bad news about security 6 months after I get it, especially from the hacker on my computer.

    Friendly networking.
Massive sized hard disk support (how about a 10 Terabyte drive anyone?).
Blu Ray (or whatever wins) support.

    Oh yeah, FAST bootup times.

Compatibility (in the sense they can talk to) older systems.

I have to keep an old machine for the simple reason that WildCat 4.1 BBS software can't handle anything more advanced than a K6 (not K6/2) processor. It would be lovely if it could emulate an older machine (I know, dreaming).

Back to the original comment, no unpleasant suprises.

Ingeniousness is simplicity,I long for the return of the days when crappy vcr's would play the audio like chipmunks:) ,has absolutely no use in productivity but can give endless hours of entertainment,I'd love to buy the tech a drink who pushed for that feature I already know I'd like him
