Been playing COD: Black Ops with my sons online (xbox360). That, and WoW once in a while on the PC. Haven't had a lot of free time of late.

    World of Warcraft.

Love RPGs. Like the fact I don't have to get locked into one thing on a console game, or when you reached a certain level, kill a certain boss the game ends.

I've dabled a bit with Fallout 3 on my PS3 and Darksiders (Pc)

Ill let you keep thinking thats a great game. I would hate to crush your delusion. :-D

(im sure you know im just teasing but nowadays you never know, so i add this disclaimer, not because i actually like the witcher, but just because i like you ;) )

    Oh, I know you're just teasing. ;)

The Witcher is buggy, poorly optimized, runs on a dated engine, and has glitchy combat. It's not great in other words, since it has flaws. But it's so much fun that none of that matters. To me anyway. :)

    MW3 - ROCK ON!!!

I wasn't a big fan of the 1st 'Borderlands', maybe I missed something but it seemed to be A LOT of running around with A LOT less action than running..... (this was single-player mode and it was B O R I N G)

Looking forward to Battlefield: Bad Company 3 - if it's anything like its predecessor, it WILL kick some butt!

I'm TOTALLY stoked for the "official" release of Serious Sam 3-BFE. It's been years in the making, and many MANY rumors have surrounded its impending release.... well, IT'S COMING!!!

"Officially" to be released on October 18, 2011 for PC!!! I'm not sure (and don't particularly care) about releases for consoles. There's a 10% pre-order discount available on Steam, but since I really hate Steam, I'll have to buy it when it hits the shelves at my local software retailer.

    Serious Sam 3-BFE trailers:

My good friend got it pre-ordered so my brother and I are waiting for him to get it and bring it down to check out.
It was alot of running around but I really enjoyed the WEAPONS!!! The story was very good(DLC were very good too).

Wish there was some more in-depth customization though.:(

I just downloaded the Jedi Knight series......and wished i hadnt.

Not as fun to play as they were originally, and through steam, 2 of them just dont work right.

The only ones that seem ok are Academy and Outcast. But i guess 5 games, 2 of which are playable, for 20 bucks isnt too bad.

and if we're going for games we are waiting for:

Borderlands 2, (waiting for a price drop) Deus Ex Human Revolution, Skyrim, Serious Sam 3, Amalur--The Reckoning, --and maybe a few more that i cant remember.

Borderlands had a ton of action, but also had a ton of running around.....unless you know how to use the teleporters to jump around :)

Is this coming out on PC or only on consoles? When I first heard about it, it seemed that it was console only 'cuz every link I checked for "Dead Island PC" ended up at a page for the PS3/Xbox version.

Re-discovered a game i dont remember playing but know i had because my username was still intact lol, Scarlet Legacy.

A f2p mmo that is translated poorly from japanese to english but it kind of gives it an endearing quality.

and a monk that doesnt use weapons, im in! (finally!) Nothing i hate more than someone using a hand to hand class and forcing me to use a weapon.

So far got to lvl 16 and im having a good time.

OH and i restarted ME1, still a kick *** game.

And, unlike the console versions, it's moddable! Though to be honest, I'm probably not getting this one. I'm still behind on Catherine for PS3, and Witcher 2 and Deus Ex: Human Revolution for PC.

Rights! I loved that movie, nothing like a snotty Swedish kid developing a relationship with a genitalia free vampire! :-D

I'm loving Deus EX Human Revolution atm, I've completed it once & seen all of the endings. I'm just picking up the achievements I missed first time around & they're... challenging to say the least :cool

There's loads of games I can't wait to play: Batman Arkham City, Call Of Duty: modern Warfare 3, Battlefield 3, Star Wars The Old Republic, Driver San Francisco, Tomb Raider 2011, Saints Row: The Third, Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon: Future Soldier, Rage, Assassins Creed Revelations, L.A Noire, Aliens: Colonial Marines, Max Payne 3, Prototype 2 & Ridge Racer Unbounded, I think that's my gaming calendar for the foreseeable future :p

Crysis 2, went to replace my dead HP C4380 printer with an HP Envy 100 and noticed Crysis 2 at £9.99 so snapped it up, and hooked on it over last week, GFX with my Nvidia GTX570 is fantastic and game-play is not too bad, still looking forward to Battlefield 3.

    How is C2 anyway?

I was in the beta for BF3, was not impressed.

    Hi Blatherbeard :)

C2 is good, personally I like it better that C1 and that was a great game, the gameplay or theme in C2 is ok, and slightly more plausible than that of C1, the GFX are superb but that could be the GTX570 and my Quad and 6GB DDR3 + SSD Raid0 C: Drive helping also, more likely the GTX.

I actually like the game and its effects, the weaponry is good, the way you can manipulate the surroundings is also good, be that vehicles and useless object that you can throw to distract the AI opponents, I'm only 3 levels in but its gripped me so far in the game-play.

Pity on BF3 and what was your negative opinion on the game in beta? I know the end game maybe different but a thought on the beta is good to have, was it AI, GFX, general game-play etc that was a let-down?

Ive got a 6core Phenom II an AMD 4850 1gig and 8g of ram so im not too worried about system specs for Crysis. Glad to hear its as good or surpasses the first, as i loved the first.

As for BF3, it just came across to me as just another shooter, nowhere near as fun as BFBC 2, and i hated that they used the origin browser to play the game. Another buddy, who is bigger on the BF games than i am also told me that the more he played, the more boring it got and there were a bunch of botters already, just in beta. So id have to go with General gameplay as my biggest gripe. Keep in mind though, we only had access to multiplayer. Although BFBC2 was nothing but mulitplayer so idk if there is a single player campaign mode. (only played a few of the BF games. Notably BFBC 2)

I just started playing Catherine the other night. Very interesting game, and definitely different, but I'm not quite hooked yet. The main protagonist irritates me.

  34. Mimsy

Mimsy Superior Imperial Queen of the MG Games Forum

I gave up on Catherine. Atlus usually don't have problems with pacing and they don't normally go over-board with being very subtle with one part of the plot while being overly obvious with another part of it. Combine that with the main protagonist being extremely aggravating and not the least bit interesting, and my giant backlog of games, and this one wasn't worth my time.

So now I'm playing Valkyria Chronicles. :)

WHOOT!!! I played the second one for PSP but I got sidetracked with other games ;).
I've all but given up on games for the time being(None I have I want to play). So I'm teaching myself to play the Guitar(Trying again after a few years).

If I'm not mistaken, bfbc2 was the only one in the bf series to have a single player campaign? and their first push into call of duty territory (which I will never return to) but it's unfortunate to hear a bad review from the beta, as I am really looking forward to bf3. I'm a convert from the moh:aa/cod games to bf. and since I will never go back to anything infinity ward puts out, I am still hoping bf3 will be fine when released. I'm currently playing Rift to pass the time, and bought Red orchestra 2: heroes of stalingrad recently, but that game has not given me much reason to quit playing rift. It's got a very steep learning curve, and I'm not real sure I want to put the time in.

Valkyria Chronicles is a really good game so far. I might actually have to do something nice for my husband for nagging me to play it. ;)

I just recently got into Red Dead, I don't really think I like the 3rd person view game play but it keeps my attention so I'll keep playing it until I beat the main story. I never really got bored of Fallout 3 because there was a 1st person option.

Next up on the shelf after Red Dead is Halo: Reach, Resident Evil 5, and then Gears of War 2.

I'm digging the new avatar, dlb

I just got Gears of War 3. It is basically an upgraded Gears of War 2. And if you don't like repeat game features, then I would go with Gears of War 3 from the start. That being said, if you like story, then I would definitely check out the other games for the story alone. I have no played Gears 1, 2, and currently on 3 AND I am happy that I have done so.
