Win7/64 Laptop: Compressing Windows/?

    Hi! On my Win7/64 laptop at my day program, I want to compress the folder containing the Windows files a little at a time. However, I have two problems. One is that I need to switch to the Administrator profile. I can do that, so it's not much of a problem. The other is that at least some of the files are in use at all times, and I can't compress files that are in use. :( Is there a way to release these files, i.e. by switching to a special mode?
