Odd, because the link to MGTools found in this highly recommended post worked just fine for me a minute ago.

I had more here, but your attitude doesn't warrant it.

 

I've not had occasion to use the tools, but they certainly do exist.

From what I have seen of them, and what I know about malware removal, such things do require some effort on your part. Perhaps that is the problem . . .

There is no magic bullet.

 

i think he may be referring to the fact that they are a compendium of other tools put together in a nice usable format - either way though, he is out of line - there a cool way of fixing problems =D

 

guys take it easy on me the problem was resolved.

 

I have successfully downloaded the other recommended tools on this page, but when I click on MGTools, I am forwarded to the majorgeek forum page instead of the downloading page. Any suggestions?

Which "this page" are you talking about?

Thank you, Smilinggeek. I should have been more explicit. I am trying to download MGTools from the The XP page at http://forums.majorgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=139313. I was able to download the other tools on that page but when I click on MGTools to download, the link goes to the general forum page.

I am trying to remove the "generic.dx" trojan from my laptop that the McAfee system scan discovered.
